Course Curriculum

The Data Science and AI bachelor’s degree programme covers a comprehensive range of subjects to equip students with both technical expertise and business understanding. In the core data science and AI modules, students study Python programming, data structures and algorithms, databases and big data, data mining, data integration, artificial intelligence and machine learning, applied statistical modelling, data visualisation, data driven strategic decision making, data governance, security and ethics, and participate in an AI studio for practical experience. Complementing these technical skills are general business competencies that include digital transformation and cases, fundamentals of marketing, sustainability management, project management, innovation management in a digital and globalised world, digital marketing and analytics, AI applications for digital business, and data driven business models. To develop practical and intercultural skills, the programme includes creative problem solving and strategy development, an end-to-end data science project, a business start-up simulation, an internship, and the option to study abroad. Scientific and methods competencies are strengthened through courses in mathematical foundations, statistics, academic writing and research methods. The programme culminates with a bachelor thesis where students apply their knowledge to a focused research or practical project. This curriculum blends technical, business, and intercultural skills, preparing graduates to excel in the rapidly evolving fields of data science and artificial intelligence.
