Course Curriculum

The thesis-based Master's program in Leadership in Post-Secondary Education requires students to maintain continuous registration in EADM 994.0 Research – Thesis throughout their studies. All students must complete GPS 960.0 Introduction to Ethics and Integrity, and GPS 961.0 Ethics and Integrity in Human Research if their research involves human participants. To meet the degree requirements, students must complete a minimum of 21 credit units, which include core courses such as EADM 811.3 History and Development of Organizational Theory, EADM 837.3 Role of Student and Student Services in Post-Secondary Education, EADM 838.3 Administration and Governance in Post-Secondary Education, and EADM 839.3 Teaching and Learning in Post-Secondary Education. Students must also register in EADM 990.0 Seminar and complete either ERES 800.3 Research Methods Introductory, ERES 810.3 Indigenous Research Epistemology and Methods, or ERES 820.3 Action Research in Education, with departmental approval. Additionally, 6 credit units of electives must be chosen in consultation with the Department of Educational Administration to support the student’s area of focus. This rigorous and focused program is designed to provide students with a strong theoretical and practical foundation in educational leadership within post-secondary contexts, preparing them for roles in academic administration, policy, and institutional development.
