The Digital & Social Media Marketing graduate certificate program spans two semesters and equips students with the expertise to design, execute, and evaluate effective digital marketing strategies for brands and organizations. In Semester 1, students develop foundational knowledge through courses in Digital and Social Media Strategies, Consumer Behaviour for Digital Marketing, Search Engine Strategies, Technical Skills for Digital and Social Media, Content Marketing Management, Managing Web Design and Development, and Marketing Fundamentals, learning to create and manage campaigns across multiple digital platforms while understanding consumer engagement and behavior. Semester 2 advances practical skills with courses in Content Creation for words, images, audio, and video, Internet Market Research, Data and Analytics for Digital and Social Media Marketing, Influence-Based Marketing, and a Digital and Social Media Marketing Capstone project, which integrates all learning into a comprehensive, applied project. Students also refine presentation skills through courses like Presenting Complex Material. An optional work-integrated learning term offers real-world experience in professional marketing environments, allowing students to implement strategies, analyze campaign performance, and build industry connections. Throughout the program, students gain expertise in content creation, analytics, social media management, digital advertising, and campaign optimization, preparing them for roles in digital marketing, social media strategy, content management, and analytics. By combining theoretical knowledge, hands-on projects, and practical experience, graduates are ready to succeed in the fast-paced, evolving digital marketing industry.
