Course Curriculum

The Bachelor of Actuarial Studies/Bachelor of Science is a four-year full-time double degree program where students complete 192 units of credit through a combination of core courses, majors, and electives. The actuarial studies component consists of 96 units of credit, including 48 units of level one core courses, 24 units of level two core courses, 18 units of actuarial electives, and the option to specialize further. The science component includes 144 units of credit, featuring five core courses—such as an introduction to university, a graduate portfolio, skills in science, and two employability experience courses—alongside one science major, an optional minor, and additional science electives if needed. A key feature of this program is SciConnect, an innovative online platform integrated throughout the science degree. SciConnect supports students in settling into university life, tracking professional development, and showcasing skills to potential employers through orientation, co-curricular activities, career development resources, and a graduate portfolio. This system allows students to personalize their university experience and present a comprehensive picture of their talents beyond academic results. Through this double degree, students develop strong analytical and quantitative skills in actuarial studies while gaining in-depth scientific knowledge and practical experience in their chosen science major.
