The Bachelor of International Tourism and Hotel Management at Griffith University offers a comprehensive and future-focused curriculum designed to prepare students for dynamic careers in tourism, hospitality, and events. From Trimester 2, 2025, students will complete 100 credit points through core subjects that provide both foundational knowledge and industry-relevant skills. These include studies in global tourism systems, travel technology, hospitality fundamentals, and business decision-making. The program also includes courses such as interpreting tourism management information, business acumen, and career development, which collectively strengthen students' analytical and professional capabilities. A focus on diversity, culture, and risk management is integrated through subjects like Diversity and Culture in Tourism and Tourism Disruption, Risk and Resilience. To enhance innovation and practical skills, students will take part in a Co-Design Incubator, encouraging creative thinking and collaborative problem-solving. The inclusion of an undergraduate business internship provides valuable real-world experience, allowing students to apply their knowledge in a professional setting and build industry connections. Students who are required to meet English language proficiency standards must complete the Language and Communication for Business and Commerce course in their first trimester, which replaces a flexible module elective. The program is designed with flexibility, allowing students to combine core learning with majors such as Tourism and Travel, Hotel and Hospitality, or Events, and they can complement these with second majors in areas like Business Analytics, Marketing, or Management. Delivered across trimesters to accommodate different schedules, this degree combines academic rigor with strong industry engagement, making graduates career-ready and competitive in global tourism and hospitality markets.
