Course Curriculum

The Industrial Design degree requires the completion of 160 credit points across core and flexible modules. Students who need to improve their English skills must take the Language and Communication for Sciences course in their first trimester instead of a flexible module elective. Core courses cover a range of design and technical subjects including 3D Modelling for 3D Printing, Engineering Design Practice, Industrial Design Fundamentals, Digital Design and Modelling, and Electrics and Electronics for Designers. A significant focus is placed on studio-based learning with multiple Industrial Design Studio courses across different trimesters, allowing students to develop practical skills through hands-on projects. The curriculum also includes specialized subjects like 3D Digital Modelling for Manufacture and Human Machine Interfaces, preparing students to work with advanced design technologies and human-centered product concepts. The final stages of the degree involve two Industrial Design Capstone Projects, which offer students the opportunity to integrate their knowledge and skills in comprehensive, real-world design challenges. This structure ensures that graduates are well-prepared for careers in product design and manufacturing with a strong balance of creativity, technical expertise, and industry experience.
