Course Curriculum

The Master of Business Administration (Healthcare Management) at Flinders University is structured around 16 topics designed to provide students with a comprehensive foundation in business administration while specialising in health and aged care management. Four of these topics focus exclusively on healthcare and aged care management, ensuring that students develop advanced knowledge and skills in managing complex healthcare environments. The broader curriculum covers essential business disciplines such as human resource management, marketing, economics, finance, ethics, sustainability, and law, equipping graduates with a well-rounded understanding of organisational operations and governance. In the second year, students deepen their expertise through specialised topics including health and aged care operations, health and aged care systems and policy, and leading organisations in health and aged care, preparing them to address the strategic, operational, and policy challenges faced by contemporary healthcare organisations. The program offers flexibility for practical experience, allowing students to choose an industry placement in place of a core topic, giving them hands-on exposure to real-world healthcare settings and professional practice.
