Course Curriculum

The Master of Psychology (Clinical) is a 72-unit program that provides advanced academic and practical training to prepare you for professional registration as a clinical psychologist. The course is structured to include 40.5 units of coursework, 18 units of supervised practicum, and a 13.5-unit research project.Coursework covers a wide range of topics essential for clinical practice, including counselling and professional issues, clinical child psychology, cognitive behaviour therapy, psychological assessment, abnormal psychology, psychopharmacology, and research methods. This ensures you gain both a theoretical foundation and practical skills to work effectively with diverse client groups.Practical experience is a core part of the program, with students completing supervised clinical placements in real-world healthcare and community settings. These placements provide opportunities to apply your skills in assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention, helping you to develop professional competence and confidence.
