Course Curriculum

The Bachelor of Arts is structured to provide students with both a solid foundation in key areas of knowledge and the flexibility to shape their degree around personal interests and career goals. In the first year, students are introduced to core topics that establish essential skills and perspectives. These include truth and knowledge in a changing world, communication, and Indigenous knowledge, which together encourage critical thinking, cultural awareness, and strong communication abilities. Alongside these, students select a combination of major and option topics, with two subjects each from Major A and Major B, plus an additional option topic. This structure allows students to begin developing expertise in their chosen fields while maintaining breadth and flexibility.In the second year, the program shifts toward deeper exploration of majors, minors, and option topics, with students completing eight subjects across these areas. This stage of the degree allows for greater specialisation in areas of interest while also leaving room to explore complementary disciplines. It encourages students to build a broader skillset and knowledge base, fostering adaptability and interdisciplinary understanding—qualities highly valued by employers.The third year continues this focus on choice and specialisation, with students again completing eight topics selected from their majors, minors, or option areas. This final stage gives students the chance to consolidate their expertise, develop advanced skills in research and analysis, and prepare for their transition into the workforce or further study. By the end of the degree, graduates have not only gained in-depth knowledge in their chosen majors but have also developed a range of transferable skills in problem-solving, communication, and critical thinking. This flexible structure ensures every student graduates with a degree that reflects their unique interests and career aspirations, ready to step confidently into a wide variety of professional pathways.
