Course Curriculum

To complete the Master of Technology and Innovation Leadership (Professional), students must pass 16 credit points, although this requirement may vary depending on their entry point and any recognition of prior learning (RPL) granted for professional experience or previous qualifications. The full 16-credit-point structure includes two compulsory zero-credit units: DAI001 Academic Integrity and Respect at Deakin, which must be completed in the first study period, and STP710 Career Tools for Employability, designed to enhance career readiness. Students must complete 4 credit points of core units that provide foundational knowledge in technology leadership and innovation management. In addition, a 4-credit-point specialisation must be selected from List A, allowing students to develop focused expertise in a particular area of interest. The remaining 8 credit points make up a pathway that can be tailored according to the student's career goals and academic interests. This pathway can consist of advanced discipline coursework, an industry practice pathway for hands-on experience, or a research pathway for those intending to pursue further academic study or roles requiring strong research capabilities. The program is designed to blend technical knowledge with strategic leadership skills, preparing graduates to lead innovation and change in technology-driven environments. Through this flexible and professionally oriented structure, students are equipped to navigate complex challenges and drive transformation across various industries.
