The Master of Clinical Chiropractic is an advanced program designed to provide students with the essential knowledge, practical experience, and professional skills required for registration as a chiropractor in Australia and New Zealand. The course is structured across 18 units, amounting to 144 credits, and combines theoretical learning with extensive clinical practice to ensure graduates are fully prepared for professional roles. Students begin with foundational units such as Advanced Clinical Neurology and Diagnosis, Extraspinal Articulations, and Diagnostic Imaging, which build a strong understanding of anatomy, diagnostic methods, and patient assessment. The course then progresses into more specialised study through units like Diagnostic Imaging 2, Social Perspectives of Health, and Advanced Topics in Clinical Chiropractic, ensuring students are equipped with a comprehensive view of both the technical and social aspects of health care.Clinical practice plays a central role in this program, with six internship or placement-based units, Clinical Practice 1 through to Clinical Practice 6. These units allow students to apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world chiropractic clinics under professional supervision, developing practical skills, patient management strategies, and professional confidence. Alongside clinical learning, the program also emphasises research capability through Research Project for Health Professionals 1 and 2, encouraging students to engage in evidence-based practice and contribute to the growing body of chiropractic knowledge. To further enhance career readiness, units such as Professional Practice and Business Management prepare students to manage the practical, ethical, and financial aspects of running a professional practice. The course also incorporates Advanced Clinical Development units, which focus on building clinical expertise across different stages of study. By the end of the program, graduates will not only meet the competencies required by the Council on Chiropractic Education Australasia (CCEA) but also possess the practical, research, and business skills necessary to succeed as chiropractors and make a meaningful contribution to the health and wellbeing of their communities.
