Course Curriculum

The Diploma of Information and Communication Technology at CQUniversity consists of eight units, totaling 48 credits, which include six core units and two electives. The core units provide a comprehensive foundation in key areas of information technology. Programming Fundamentals (COIT11222) introduces coding concepts and software development practices, while Information Technology and Society (COIT11223) explores the role of IT in contemporary environments. Systems Analysis (COIT11226) develops skills in evaluating and designing IT systems, and Database Design and Implementation (COIT11237) covers the creation and management of databases. Networked Infrastructure Foundations (COIT11238) provides an understanding of networking principles, and Professional Communications Skills for ICT (COIT11239) focuses on effective communication and teamwork in IT contexts.Students also select two elective units to tailor the course to their interests and career goals.
