Course Curriculum

The course requires the completion of eight units, totalling 48 credits. The structure is designed to provide a solid foundation in business with flexibility for students to choose an elective that matches their interests. Students complete seven core units covering essential areas such as Financial Literacy for Business, Business Analytics, Human Resource Management, Foundations of Business Law, Introduction to Business, and Marketing Fundamentals. In addition, they select either Introduction to Study and Professional Practice or Academic and Digital Literacy in Higher Education to develop academic and professional readiness.The elective component allows students to tailor their learning towards specific areas of interest. Options include Introductory Financial Accounting, Residential Construction, Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning, Organisational Behaviour, Hospitality Management Fundamentals, Digital Marketing and AI, and Networked Infrastructure Foundations. These electives provide the opportunity to broaden business knowledge or gain insight into complementary disciplines such as finance, construction, technology, or hospitality.This structure ensures that students not only build core skills in business operations, management, law, finance, and marketing but also have the flexibility to apply their learning to industry-relevant fields. By completing this program, graduates will be equipped with practical knowledge and critical thinking skills to prepare for diverse career pathways in business or to progress into further specialised study.
