Course Curriculum

The Bachelor of Science (Chiropractic) requires students to complete 22 core units, totaling 144 credits. The course is carefully structured to provide a strong foundation in health sciences, chiropractic principles, and clinical skills, ensuring students are well-prepared to progress into professional postgraduate study in chiropractic practice.Students begin with introductory units such as Foundations of Chiropractic Practice 1, Human Anatomy and Physiology 1, Fundamentals of Chemistry, and Study and Research Skills for Health Science. These establish a base in anatomy, physiology, chemistry, and research literacy, which are essential for understanding the human body and health sciences. Progression into Human Anatomy and Physiology 2 and Foundations of Biochemistry builds deeper knowledge of body systems and biochemical processes, while units like Mental Health Literacy for Health Professionals highlight the importance of holistic health.The course integrates chiropractic-specific units throughout the program, including Foundations of Chiropractic Practice 2 through 6, which develop clinical reasoning, patient care skills, and hands-on practice. Subjects such as Neuromusculoskeletal Anatomy 1 and 2, Neurological Physiology and Measurement, and Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis 3 focus on musculoskeletal and nervous system health, which are central to chiropractic care. Additional units such as Medical Pathophysiology, Systems and Pathology, Microbiology for Health Care, and Foundations of Radiation Science broaden understanding of disease processes, diagnostics, and healthcare safety.
