Course Curriculum

The Bachelor of Business at CQUniversity requires the completion of 24 units, totalling 144 credits. The course structure is designed to give you both a strong foundation in core business knowledge and the flexibility to specialise in areas aligned with your career goals.You will begin with the eight core units, which introduce fundamental concepts in business and management. These units include Introduction to Study and Professional Practice (BUSN11016), Accounting, Learning and Online Communication (ACCT11059), Business Analytics (MGMT11169), Principles of Economics (ECON11026), Foundations of Business Law (LAWS11030), Introduction to Business (MGMT11109), Marketing Fundamentals (MRKT11029), and Professional Practice and Experience (BUSN13004), which includes an internship or placement to help you gain real-world industry exposure.Beyond the core, you will complete either two eight-unit majors or one eight-unit major combined with two four-unit minors. This flexible structure allows you to tailor your studies according to your interests and career aspirations. For example, you may choose to specialise in majors such as Financial Planning or Property (available to domestic students only), or combine a major with minors in complementary business areas.The inclusion of Professional Practice and Experience ensures you graduate with hands-on skills and practical knowledge, making you ready for the workforce.
