Course Curriculum

The program spans three semesters and is designed to blend communication skills, research development, and specialized coursework to prepare students for advanced professional or academic careers. In the first semester, students focus on building strong foundational skills with two communication subjects that enhance their ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively. Alongside these, students select a general elective from a broad range of postgraduate subjects offered by various faculties, allowing for interdisciplinary learning and customization based on personal interests or career goals. Additionally, students are introduced to essential research methods and data visualisation techniques. These components are designed to equip students with the tools needed for undertaking a dissertation or research paper in later semesters.In the second semester, the path diverges slightly depending on the student’s chosen research pathway. Those who opt for the major research project begin working on it in this semester while also taking two additional coursework subjects. This path is more research-focused and prepares students for academic or analytical roles. On the other hand, students who choose to complete a research paper or a professional portfolio continue with more industry-focused coursework and additional electives. This route is more practice-oriented, catering to those aiming for applied roles in their field.The third and final semester is primarily dedicated to completing the major research project, research paper, or professional portfolio. Students also finish any remaining coursework subjects required for their program. By the end of this semester, students will have not only completed substantial research or a professional portfolio but also gained comprehensive knowledge through diverse coursework. The structure allows flexibility while ensuring that all students graduate with strong research capabilities, practical knowledge, and a well-rounded postgraduate education tailored to their individual career aspirations.
