Course Curriculum

The Master of Ministry (MMin) is a postgraduate program that requires the successful completion of 16 units, totalling 96 credit points. Each unit is normally valued at six credit points. The program is structured across four semesters for full-time students, with four units taken per semester, though a part-time study option is also available for those balancing study with work and personal responsibilities. The maximum period permitted to complete the degree is eight years, allowing students flexibility in managing their study load. Some units are offered on a rotational calendar, meaning that the sequence of enrolment may vary depending on whether students begin in an even or odd year. For this reason, students are advised to follow the recommended program plan or consult with the Course Convenor, particularly if studying part-time, to ensure progression through the course requirements in an orderly manner.The curriculum integrates biblical studies, theology, church history, and practical ministry. Core units include biblical languages and texts such as Greek and the Pentateuch in Context, as well as thematic studies like Gospels of Matthew and John, New Testament Epistles, and Daniel & the Apocalypses. Theological units such as Theology & Belief, Eschatology & Salvation, Adventist Heritage, and Ecclesiology & Doctrine of the Sabbath provide students with a strong grounding in Christian doctrine and Adventist perspectives. The program also covers church history to deepen understanding of the development of Christian traditions. In addition to biblical and theological studies, the MMin emphasizes ministry and leadership training. Units such as World Mission & Evangelism, Family Systems in Ministry, Church & Ministry, Biblical Preaching, Personal Evangelism & Discipleship, and Pastoral Leadership & Church Management equip students with practical skills for service in diverse ministry contexts. This combination of academic depth and practical training prepares graduates to serve effectively as ministers of the Gospel, capable of leading with knowledge, vision, and faith.
