Course Curriculum

The Associate Degree of Criminal Justice at ACAP University College is structured to provide students with a solid foundation in the principles and practices of the criminal justice system. The course consists of 16 core units delivered across two levels: 100 and 200. It is designed to be completed in two years of full-time study, with a part-time option available for those needing flexibility. In the first year, students are introduced to fundamental concepts through subjects such as Foundations of Justice, Crime and the Media, Theoretical Criminology, Ethics and Criminal Justice, and units that explore broader societal issues like diversity, sustainability, and the role of professionals in justice-related fields. In the second year, students progress into more specialised topics such as Drugs and Crime, Crime Prevention, Penology, and Transnational Crime. They also explore emerging areas like Innovative Justice and Comparative Criminology, while developing practical insights through Applied Criminology.
