Part B, Speech Pathology Theory Units, consists of 170 credit points covering core disciplinary knowledge across communication, anatomy and physiology, linguistics, phonetics, language and speech disorders, motor speech disorders, voice and fluency disorders, swallowing and feeding, and literacy and cognition across the lifespan. Additional units focus on public health, community development, technology in practice, and professional reasoning, ensuring graduates are equipped to provide evidence-based, culturally sensitive, and person-centred care. Part C, Speech Pathology Integration and Practice Units, encompasses 90 credit points of progressive clinical and professional practice, including introductory and advanced practice placements and reflective professional practice units, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world contexts while developing clinical reasoning, ethical decision-making, and professional competence. Finally, Part D, Core Curriculum Units, requires 20 credit points from a selection of units exploring human experience, ethics, society, spirituality, arts, and justice, fostering critical thinking and reflective practice.
