Course Curriculum

The Diploma of Business is designed to equip students with fundamental skills and knowledge across key business areas, preparing them for a variety of roles in accounting, management, and marketing. The course consists of eight core units, totaling 48 credit points, each worth 6 credit points and equivalent to 0.125 EFTSL. These units cover a broad range of essential topics such as professional development and business communication, fundamentals of management, mathematics and statistics, accounting, economics, business law, and finance. A particular focus is placed on developing practical business and accounting skills through units like Foundations of Accounting and Financial Accounting, the latter requiring prior completion of the former. Other units introduce students to the principles of economics and business law, while management and communication units help build leadership and interpersonal skills essential for business environments. The diploma is structured to ensure that students are well-prepared to undertake further studies, offering a clear pathway to bachelor degrees in business or related fields at many higher education institutions.
