Course Curriculum

The Bachelor of Business (BBus) is a comprehensive degree program designed to equip students with essential business knowledge and practical skills in areas such as finance, accounting, leadership, and project management. The course includes 16 core units covering fundamental topics such as professional communication, management, statistics, accounting, economics, business law, and finance. Advanced units build on these foundations with subjects like financial accounting, management accounting, corporation law, project management, and human resource management. These core units are designed to develop analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills crucial for business leadership roles.Students also choose eight elective units—four in Year 2 and four in Year 3—to tailor their studies to their career goals. Elective options in Year 2 include taxation, marketing and sales, entrepreneurship, strategic planning, and information systems. In Year 3, students can deepen their expertise with electives in auditing, leadership, organisational development, project execution, and management of information systems. These electives allow students to specialize in areas such as accounting, project management, or business innovation.To be admitted into the BBus program, applicants must be at least 18 years old at the start of the course and meet academic entry requirements equivalent to an Australian Year 12 qualification. Other accepted qualifications include a Certificate IV or higher, a GCE A-Level with three or more C grades, or an International Baccalaureate Diploma. International students must also meet specific English language requirements. Domestic students may be eligible for FEE-HELP to assist with tuition fees. The BBus degree provides a solid academic and practical foundation, preparing graduates for a wide range of careers in business across different industries and global markets. Not all units are offered in every trimester, so planning is essential.
