Course Curriculum

Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds applying to an AQF Level 7 qualification at APIC must meet specific English language requirements, which may be demonstrated through several recognised tests. These include an IELTS Academic overall score of 6.0 with minimum scores of 5.5 in writing and speaking, a TOEFL iBT score of 65 with writing at least 21 and speaking 18, a Cambridge CPE or CAE score of 169 or above with no band lower than 162 in writing and speaking, or a PTE Academic score of 50 with minimum scores of 42 in writing and speaking. Once admitted, students in the Bachelor of Business program develop broad knowledge across key business disciplines such as accounting, project management, economics, statistics, general management and marketing. They also gain an understanding of business practice, ethics, codes of conduct and corporate governance. The degree builds cognitive skills for basic research, the evaluation of concepts and evidence, and the analysis of business and technical data, while strengthening communication abilities needed for teamwork and professional presentation. Practical application of knowledge is emphasised through problem solving, decision making and the implementation of innovative business practices, with students expected to demonstrate responsibility, accountability and ethical behaviour in collaborative environments. The program supports the development of a wide range of professional capabilities, including project scheduling, monitoring progress, planning, coordination, evaluating project outcomes, managing people and effective time management. These skills prepare graduates for careers in project-focused roles across business environments. Possible employment outcomes include positions such as project specialist, project coordinator, operations manager and project scheduler, reflecting the program’s alignment with industry needs and its focus on equipping students to manage projects, people and organisational objectives effectively.
