Course Curriculum

Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds applying to any AQF Level 7 qualification at APIC must meet specific English language requirements to ensure they are prepared for academic study in a higher education environment. These requirements can be demonstrated through various recognised tests, including an IELTS Academic overall score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in writing and speaking, a TOEFL iBT score of 65 with minimum scores of 21 in writing and 18 in speaking, or a Cambridge CPE or CAE score of 169 or above with no component lower than 162 in writing and speaking. Applicants may also meet the entry criteria by achieving a minimum score of 50 on the PTE Academic, with writing and speaking scores of at least 42. Once admitted, students in the Bachelor of Business develop a wide range of learning outcomes that include strong theoretical and practical understanding of business functions, the ability to analyse and interpret information, and the development of professional behaviours aligned with industry standards. The program is nationally accredited and designed to meet Australian quality assurance requirements, ensuring graduates receive a qualification recognised both domestically and internationally. Throughout their studies, students build key skills such as communication, critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, analytical reasoning and problem-solving. They also gain specialised capabilities depending on their chosen electives or specialisation, which may include project planning, financial literacy, data analysis, AI-supported decision making, or organisational management. These skills prepare graduates for a broad range of career outcomes across multiple sectors in roles such as business analyst, project coordinator, operations officer, marketing assistant, administrative manager or financial support officer. The degree’s strong industry alignment, combined with its emphasis on developing adaptable professional capabilities, enables graduates to thrive in modern workplace environments that require innovation, collaboration and strategic thinking.
